NEW Role! Capital Employment Group is hiring for a Packaging Equipment Technician for one of Boise’s leading lotion, fragrance, and scented products!
The Packaging Equipment Technician is responsible for the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall operational efficiency of all packaging equipment. This role is critical to ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. The technician must possess a solid understanding of production processes, line balancing, resource constraints, and be proactive in driving continual improvement within the packaging area.
Shift : Monday- Friday (6AM-2:30PM)
Pay: $ 23/hr + $1 for bilingual
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a Safe and Clean Workspace
- Ensure all equipment and surrounding areas meet safety and cleanliness standards.
- Daily Equipment Troubleshooting
- Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure Equipment Uptime & Efficient Changeovers
- Take ownership of timely and efficient product line changeovers to maintain production flow.
- Coordinate with Packaging Supervisor
- Work closely with the supervisor to align equipment availability with production schedules.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Manager
- Assist in addressing major equipment failures and long-term maintenance planning.
- Ensure SOP Compliance
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and support compliance across the team.
- Support Packaging Operations
- When equipment-related tasks are complete, assist the packaging crew with day-to-day operations.
- Drive Continuous Improvement
- Propose and implement improvements that enhance equipment performance and packaging efficiency.
