Hours:6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am

SUMMARY

Performs physical measuring and chemical analysis tests of packaged beverages and materials in a quality control laboratory of beverage production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Selects test samples of closures, containers, labels, and packages from production lines following established procedures as to time, place, and sequence.

• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Possess basic knowledge of lab testing and record keeping.
• Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.
• Completes all required Food Safety and GMP training and demonstrates compliance on a continual basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
