Temp-to-Hire Staffing
Build Your Team with Confidence
Finding someone who can do the job is one thing. Finding someone who fits your team, shows up consistently, performs well, and becomes the employee you want to keep is another.
Capital Employment Group provides temp-to-hire staffing solutions for employers throughout Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Twin Falls, Jerome and surrounding Idaho communities. Our approach gives employers the opportunity to evaluate an employee in the actual work environment before making a long-term hiring decision.
CEG handles the recruiting, screening, onboarding and employment responsibilities while you focus on the question that matters most: Is this the right person for our team?
How CEG Temp-to-Hire Staffing Works
CEG's standard temp-to-hire program includes a 480-hour evaluation period. During that time, the employee works at your location while remaining an employee of Capital Employment Group.
CEG manages the employment responsibilities, including:
- Recruiting and candidate sourcing
- Candidate screening and interviewing
- Onboarding and employment documentation
- I-9 and E-Verify
- Payroll and payroll taxes
- Workers' compensation coverage
- Unemployment administration
- Benefits and ACA administration, when applicable
- Ongoing employee communication and support
- Employee relations and assignment support
Your supervisors get to evaluate the things that are difficult to determine from a resume or interview: attendance, attitude, productivity, ability to learn, response to coaching, teamwork and overall fit.
Once an employee successfully completes the agreed 480-hour temp-to-hire period, they can transition to your payroll with no additional conversion fee.
More Than “Try Before You Hire” or “Try before you buy”
Temp-to-hire is sometimes described as “try before you hire,” or “Try before you buy” but we think there's more to it than that.
A resume can tell you where someone has worked. An interview can tell you how someone presents themselves. Neither can completely show you how that person will perform at 7:00 Monday morning, learn your operation, respond to a supervisor, or become part of your team.
Temp-to-hire gives both the employer and the employee time to determine whether the relationship makes sense long term.
Throughout the evaluation period, CEG remains involved as the employer, providing payroll administration, employee support and an additional point of communication when questions or challenges arise.
Good staffing should make life easier for supervisors.
Less chaos.
Less turnover.
More consistency.
That's where strong teams start.
Built for Idaho Employers
CEG's temp-to-hire staffing model works particularly well for employers where attendance, reliability, productivity and workplace fit matter just as much as what's written on a resume.
CEG supports employers throughout our primary service areas:
- Ada County — Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Kuna, Garden City, Star and surrounding communities
- Canyon County — Nampa, Caldwell, Middleton, Wilder, Homedale and surrounding communities
- Magic Valley — Twin Falls, Jerome, Wendell, Burley and surrounding Southern Idaho communities
Recruiting Is Only the Beginning
Placing an employee is not where our responsibility ends.
Our team stays connected throughout the assignment, communicating with employees, supporting our clients when questions arise, helping address attendance or performance concerns, and working toward a successful transition when the right employee reaches the end of the temp-to-hire period.
Safety is part of that partnership, too. CEG works with clients and employees to establish clear expectations and support safe, productive work environments.
